As a child growing up in Missouri, I never tasted foods such as shrimp, kale, artichokes, or risotto. It was only a few years ago, when I discovered the Food Network, that I ever considered cooking with them. Sunday dinners are always a welcome tradition, where the family gathers together and shares a meal on Sunday (basically a Norman Rockwell moment). A platter of Smoked Turkey Sausage Skillet could easily qualify as a dish to carry to such a meal; not to mention, how easy it is to prepare.
