Leftover ham and a big hunk of Gouda cheese led me down the path of this scrumptious soup. Red Pepper, Gouda and Ham Soup is what I call “rib sticking” and is now on my list of favorites.
Happy Monday! Well for those who had to work (or be out) in this bitter coldness that has descended upon us, it was probably not very happy. I am hearing from the National Weather Service that this polar blast is the coldest this area has seen for about 20 years and I believe they are right. The Hubby and I spent 90% of the day indoors and only ventured out to keep a late afternoon appointment. Before we left for the appointment; however, I put this Tuscan Pork and Bean Soup together in my trusty slow-cooker so it would be ready when we returned. It smelled so wonderful when we walked into the house and boy, it sure was good!
When it is cold outside and we are ailing around our house, we both want some type of soup for Dinner. The Hubby was a little under the weather and wanted me to make one of my favorite soups. To me, nothing is any more comforting than a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I happened to have all the ingredients on hand for this rib-sticking Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup and I put it together in about 30 minutes. He loved it!
Yet another version of Broccoli soup, only better! We love a good Potato Soup and we love a good Broccoli and Cheese Soup, but if you put them together, you get an awesome Cheesy Broccoli and Potato Soup!
It was cold enough today for me to get into my “soup mode” and I knew exactly which one I was going to make. The Hubby bought me a Taste of Home magazine the other day and in it was a Wild Rice and Mushroom Soup recipe that I drooled over when I saw it and vowed it would be my first soup of the 2013 Autumn Season.
